Capacity Building Seminar ‘Group Pedagogy & Collaboration with Schools’ in Stockholm, Sweden on June 18 & 19

Dear members and friends of the European Music School Union,

On behalf of EMU president Helena Maffli and the Presidium, we are happy to invite you to a capacity building seminar on Group Pedagogy & Collaboration with schools on June 18-19, 2018 in Stockholm. The seminar will take place at the SMI (Stockholm University College of Music Education) and is kindly hosted by our Swedish member Sveriges Kulturskoleråd.

The target group of the seminar is music school directors and teachers as well as people working in national music school associations. The seminar suits well for any person who is interested in developing new pedagogical skills and tools.

In the course of these two days, participants will learn more about various approaches to group teaching and collaboration models with schools from a series of international speakers sharing their experience from working in different cultural contexts. The sessions include overviews of models that can be used in the context of group pedagogy and what expectations both teachers and students should have. It further includes best practice examples of collaborations between public schools and music schools, interactive sessions, time for discussions and networking and much more.
