RCO Young – Eurooppalainen nuoriso-orkesterihanke

RCO Young is the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s new and international youth orchestra. It consists of young talented musicians between 14 and 17 years old and is to represent all of the countries of the European Union and reflect the diversity of Europe. This youth orchestra is intended for hidden talent: young musicians who are in need of some extra support and who are currently underrepresented in the European orchestras.

We will launch this project at the beginning of November with a press conference, but as of this week it is possible to nominate the young hidden talents. Music teachers, conductors of local youth orchestras, school bands and ensembles, as well as other professionals can nominate talented young musicians for an audition. Applications for the auditions for the first RCO Young summer camp are being accepted until 31 January 2019.

Young musicians can apply via Acceptd (https://app.getacceptd.com/rcoyoung).
Nominators can nominate young musicians by sending an e-mail to: rcoyoung@concertgebouworkest.nl
